Christs International Ministry
Doctor Gabriel Kisanga Ph.D is from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Since the age of 19 preaching has been his main passion. After his Engineering studies, he worked for eleven years in Kinshasa, Belgium, Europe and Los Angeles, California as well as an engineer before transitioning into full-time ministry, studying theology and founding Christ’s International Ministry.
Christ International Ministry (CIM) is a CALIFORNIA registered 501c3 not profit organization which is located within the Democratic Republic of the Congo and also part of the Christian Alliance for Orphans (CAFO) African Global Network. The CIM focused on two ministry activities; The training up of pastors and Planting churches that plant churches. However, the "Pure religion, undefiled before God and the Father, is this: to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction,.."(James 1.27). So, the CIM cares of approximately 120 orphans additionnally.
The DRC is a large African country located in the middle of Africa, serving as a link between the Northern and the Southern part of Africa. As such, it can be seen as a strategical location in the Continent of Africa, working as a hub. Events which occur in DRC are likely to have an affect on the rest of the continent. Many groups like to target the DRC, such as politicians, Muslims, Christians, etc to broaden their reach in Africa.
There are three main people groups living in the DRC; Bantous, Pygmees and Tutsis (or Nilothics). These three ethnic groups are rivals. A Tutsi man will go to the Bantous' areas at his own risk, same for other groups as well. A Bantou may be killed if he visited some Pygmees areas. Although attempts have been made, no one has been able to create lasting peace between these groups of people.
In June 1945 in San Francisco, California, the UN was created as an international Organization of 51 countries. Since many resolutions came from the UN Security Council and peace treaties were signed, none of which were successful at creating lasting peace in the world. God hasn’t used the UN to be an agency of making peace in the world. We see this as a function of what the church is supposed to do. In order to make peace between other, it is our goal to see hearts changed and filled with the love of God with each other. This is the privilege of those who are reconciled with God. Matt 5:9, 2 Cor 5.18-20, Eph 2.12-18.
For this reason, our goal has been the training of pastors and leaders with the goal of planting churches within their people groups. This will enable them to evangelize to a culture which they understand; leading more people to be reconciled to God and enjoy real lasting peace.
When the DRC is impacted by the Gospel more African countries are likely to be impacted as well. Currently many pastors in Africa will walk miles to find a Bible then write down verses to preach for weeks on end over and over.
We have already planted twelve churches in the DRC and eleven prayer groups where so many people meet. Some of churches that are under our leadership are located in the remote areas of the DRC, where there is a great need for medical aid. From 2004 to 2021 we have been able to train up approximately 6,500 pastors.
